The Swimming Teachers’ Association (STA) Learn to Swim program is a globally recognized swimming education system. It offers a structured pathway for learners of all ages and abilities, focusing on developing water confidence, swimming technique, and safety skills.
Program Levels
The STA program includes a series of progressive levels designed to help children develop their skills step-by-step. Each level has specific goals and objectives, ensuring a clear learning journey.
Octopus Series (Beginner Levels): These introductory levels are perfect for young children who are new to swimming. The Octopus series focuses on water safety, building confidence, and developing basic swimming skills.
Octopus 1: Introduction to water safety and basic swimming movements.
Octopus 2: Building on confidence and introducing floatation techniques.
Octopus 3: Developing independent swimming skills and basic stroke techniques.
Goldfish Series: Building on the foundation set in the Octopus levels, the Goldfish series introduces more advanced techniques and stroke development.
